Forget the inconsistency of X-men Evolution forgot the problematic idea of Wolverine as team leader in Wolverine and the X-Men. X-Men the anime will rock you to the core. It starts off right at the Phoenix Saga. It has some dark tones and the action is stupendous. Sure I'll question, why cyclops shoots missiles and lasers out of his motorcycle instead of just firing his optic blasts at some point, but for right now. It's the best damn X-Men to come out since the 90's cartoon.
The major enemies are the U-Men a bunch of freaks that steal mutants to steal their powers, by dissecting them. Then the gain their powers for themselves.
The best news is G4 has already picked it up, no idea if it's dubbed or subbed, yet. For right now it's a 12 episodes series, hopefully it"ll be picked up for more. I want more.
Just wait till Beast gives his lecture at college, I love this show.
