3-Day Snyderverse Movie Marathon Already Sold-Out

Just going on sale a few hours ago it looks like the 3-Day Snyderverse Movie Marathon for late April is already sold-out and with tickets at $150 and $175 a pop that's pretty impressive. All proceeds going to suicide prevention probably didn't hurt.

We just question how many people want to re-watch Zack Synder's take on the DC Universe with him doing Q&A's? The answer was a sold out crowd at high prices.

It's taking place in Pasadena's ArtCenter (to which Synder is an Alum) & the Citywalk IMAX, because WB didn't invest in its own fancy theater off the lot.

Buy the damn Cinerama-dome WBs.

Don' forget you're not that far out from Palm Springs. Desert X 2023 starts its almost 3-month stay in Coachella Valley starting Saturday. The outdoor art exhibition has yet to share the new free pieces to be in awe of as of writing this. Every two years, different artists showcase pieces large and small, but entice you to visit them a little outside of LA. What make it all the wilder is that they aren't in all one location, but usually all over Coachella Valley making you drive out to enjoy not just Palm Springs and how it's put on the freeway sign "Other Desert Cities."

WonderCon 2023 Schedule Up

Well, WonderCon 2023 is starting this Friday and the full schedule is up. You can still grab a pass and head to Anaheim this weekend. Enjoy three days of a convention with seemingly no big restrictions since Covid happened. Not that much to report than some panels official panels on Walking Dead Spin-Off, other than that it looks to mostly be a community convention.

We'll have some highlights from it and hopefully some good cosplay photos.

Weird Marketing: Mario's Boots?

Not sure why Nintendo made some sort of an event about making Mario's boots real, but they did. Mario Day or March10, the Nintendo Store of New York showed off replica boots of Mario's. Why? They...aren't iconic. It's very random and we hope what ever ad exec who did it comes forward to be made fun of.

Fans seem to really like the commercial that pay homage to the old TV show theme, but this, this was just dumb.

What's The Topanga Social?

Did the girl from Boy Meets World create a social app or something? No, the Topanga Social is a brand-spanking new food hall featuring 24 of some of LA's most talked about restaurants and pop-ups now within the valley, specifically the Westfield Topanga Mall. It opens this Spring...hopefully.

Here's the latest on whose gonna be apart of it, though someone seems kicked off, because they're only 24 places now.

Eater LA's head most of exploded after seeing everything coming to the valley.

Shrimp Daddy
Topanga Social’s culinary concepts are: Amboy Quality Burgers (Chef Alvin Cailan), Burrata
House
(Co-Founders Antonello Dato and Francesco Gatti, Partner Mimmo Bruno of Di Stefano cheese), a candy shop curated by CandyStore.com, Dtown Pizzeria (Chef and Owner Ryan Ososky), Dumpling Monster (Chef and Owner Perry Cheung), Fat Sal’s (Founders Josh Stone and Sal Capek), Hey Hey Boba (Crafter Christopher Kwok), I Love Micheladas (Co-founders Paulina Lopez-Velazquez, Bricia Lopez, and Fernando Lopez), Jay Bird’s Chicken (Chef Jay Bogsinske - Executive Chef/Director of Culinary), Katsu Sando (Chef Daniel So), Mad Lab Coffee (Owner and Founders Andrew Sinclair and Sarah Sinclair), MANEATINGPLANT (Partners and Chefs Candice Tzeng and Phil Kwan), Margarita Garden (tequilas and cocktails), Mini Kabob (Owners and Chefs Ovakim Martirosyan, Alvard Martirosyan, and Armen Martirosyan), Oakberry (CEO Georgios Frangulis), Pearl Champagne Bar, Poke Me, Primo's Donuts (Founders Ralph and Celia Primo), Rock & Reilly’s, Temaki by Seaweed Handroll Bar (Chef Jesse Herek), Shrimp Daddy (Partners Dan Tran, June Quan, Anna Wang, Jeremy Tu), Slab BBQ (Pitmaster and Owner Burt Bakman), The Pie Room (Chef Curtis Stone), Truffle Brothers Market (Michael and Marco Pietroiacovo), and Wanderlust Creamery (Chef and Owner Adrienne Borlongan).-via the Businesswire

When talking to friends about it they seemed overjoyed with their utter hate of traveling outside of the valley to get to better food destinations. They don't want to deal with the traffic or the parking when it comes to downtown or really outside of their comfort zone.

Still, we're holding back our praise on how good it goes as Westfield's The Village nearby lacks so many restaurants worth going to when it gets down to it and it had huge amount of excitement for it before it sort of settled into kind of bland place to walk around.
