Halloween 2011: Murder Balloon

Murder Balloon my Halloween short was inspired by Rubber and mangaka Junji Ito . I couldn't think of anything funnier than a happy faced balloon that goes around killing people. Editing went so poorly in the end, but the start will drag you in. Now don't pop from the silliness.

Game Hype: Micheal PS3 Commercial

The Reel has a great article with the PS3 "Micheal" commercial director Simon McQuoid

Solid Snake was an interesting challenge. For a while he wasn’t going to be in it, because the developer was nervous that we wouldn’t do a good job. But then for some reason they were OK, and we ended up having to cast him in Prague. So there we were in Prague looking for a great actor who was American, and looked like Solid Snake. I shudder now thinking about how lucky we were to find that guy. He is from Sacramento and has lived in Prague for many years; he is a musician and comes in for casting for commercials when needed. I was starting to wonder where the hell we were going to find this very specific looking character and in walks this guy, and opens his mouth and was a dead ringer for Snake.
-Simon

The full length trailer is a bit different. For one I don't remember Chell from Portal in it and two Snake's camouflage suit is bad ass.  Only question I have still is, who is Micheal, an actor or just a friend named Micheal who took a bunch of pictures for the ad.

Marceline's Time Halloween Adventure Time

 Happy Halloween Adventure Time fans!

Artist Jack Cusumano, who I know mainly from his work Raz part of Dumm comics with Gabe Swarr and Katie Rice and all the rest who do great internent comics, must really like Adventure Time or know the crew, because he did a short for Channel 101 with the voice of Pen Ward

Tiny Jackie Talk Show from jack cusumano on Vimeo.

I didn't like it that much, but I do like his goal of drawing a picture of a character from every new episode of Season 3 of Adventure Time, here are some

By the way Justin Roiland voice of Lemongrab was also in Jack's short as a voice.

The new Adventure Time Calendar for 2012 is boooring , instead of making new drawings that represent the time of year or holidays in the month, they decided to make catchphrases, booorrring! Dungeon!

Halloween 2011: New Halloween Short

This new short was made from random footage I shot around my campus for a series I abandoned about something supernaturally bad happening when the library got finished. It's just a fake trailer in the vain of Paranormal Activity and the witch movie.
I forgot this old short was also a horror movie.

Why Not Just Get Foogos Instead 8-Bit

I'm a huge fan of IAM8BIT, but I'm having trouble understanding why there doing art shows in LA that aren't about video games. The next one due this November 4th is Licorice Flicks: Edible Movie Mosaics. But, they aren't really edible and the pieces will not be eaten. I didn't know if it was going to happen, because the artist was asking for cash on Kickstarter, but he got it.

I suggest getting Foogos instead for the event. Rampage Reality mentioned him and he has consumable work. He's stuff looks tastier, too.

Please, don't tell me the guy who does art based on Star Wars Action Figures is the show after Licorice Flicks. His work was terrible at Designercon and it remains terrible.

Halloween 2011: Never Saw Trick 'r Treat

Halloween 2011: Don't Forget Murder Party

Squid Girl Invades America Squid Girl TV Series Part One Review

A new cute aquatic creature is Ink-vading from Japan, no it's not a certain green frog. It's Squid Girl!

Squid Girl Series Part 1

Squid Girl has invaded American shores. Squid Girl centers around a young girl would be conqueror of all humanity, whose hair is blue tentacles. Yes, tentacles and she isn't like any other little girl you've met. In her quest to conquer the world she starts by accidentally destroying the beach side restaurant Lemon House run by the Aizawa sisters Chizuru and Eiko. To pay off the damages she caused she has to be their waitress, this starts a series of events that make this anime series into an almost sitcom-esque show that only Japan could come up with.

Bill Murray Isn't Dead Yet, But He'd Make A Cool Ghost

Gallery 1988 has a Bill Murray art show at it's Melrose location and a show about Ghost at their Venice location. The above piece form Jude Buffum looks like these pieces will be top notch, also that Jude should start making some damng games to play.

Wesker Refrence in Kid With A Bike

Kid With A Bike will be screened at AFI Fest, with what will be a sacchrine story of a son abandoned by his father. I had no idea a game refrence to Resident Evil would come by in the form of a character "Wes" 42 seconds in to the trailer below, he even does Wesker's moves. Looks like the the Dardenne brothers’ might be gamers.
