Stan Lee's Los Angeles Comic Con
Oct 27-29
Los Angeles Convention Center
$tarts at $30

Can we still use growing pains for this convention? Anyway, even with the infusion of Stan Lee I'm still reminded of the poorly names Comikaze. What the festival is good for is some ner/fan hanging out and LA cosplay, better than other cosplay.  You've got quite a few reunions for show and some nice guests this year too.

Grand Central Market
317 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90013

One of our favorite places to nosh and hang out downtown is celebrating 100 years of service. A few minutes away from Little Tokyo or City Hall is the Grand Central Market known for its huge selection of things to eat. To celebrate this house of taste, there's going to be a party in it's honor October 27th and throughout the day special menu items and a big cake will be only some of the festivities. If you've enjoyed the Market over the years or have just been, celebrate and extra day this October.

The winner of the Palme d'Or from the 2017 Cannes Film Festival is a comedic look at how museums are run. If you've ever been to an art gallery opening in LA you need to see the movie. Be prepared though it's clocking in at over two hours, but those two hours might be laughing at how messed up this museum can be.
