"For our 18th Annual Dia de los Muertos, we tip our feather and flower adorned hat to the Mexican artist Jose Guadalupe Posada. Over 100 years ago, Posada gave us many of the foundational images of Dia de los Muertos that are still venerated today and which have become treasured images of Mexican culture and identity. J.G. Posada reminds us that art is power – political and social speech – mass produced by the printing presses and now social media. Posada’s La Catrina asks us to embrace the beauty and grace inherent in facing our own death and the inevitable loss of those we love. By facing loss with love, and art, we find transcendence."

"Welcome to THE only Halloween Party in the Valley, especially North Hollywood! We were tired of having to drive 2 hours just to get to a party downtown, only to find out that the place is packed and it’s just like any other club night. We wanted a party that always had something interesting going on, had lots of great eye candy, had a great dance floor, and was fun from the moment you get in to the last moment you left. We want a party that is put on by people that love Halloween! So, here it is, the NoHo Monster Bash."

Halloween Screening: Dawn of the Dead
Pioneering director and horror icon George Romero unleashed onto unsuspecting viewers the modern film zombie—a specter that remains a shockingly adaptable metaphor for contemporary life. In honor of the late master of the undead, we screen one of his classics, Dawn of the Dead. Like Night of the Living Dead before it, Dawn helped shape the zombie genre and tapped into the zeitgeist of its historical moment with a deft combination of blood, tension, and social satire.
