Wikipedia Documentary & Party

Truth in Numbers? Everything, According to Wikipedia

Thursday, February 17 – 7:30 PM
Los Angeles Premiere
Discussion following with directors Scott Glosserman and Nic Hill, and Andrew Lih, author of The Wikipedia Revolution. Book signing and an in-house Wikipedia edit session across the street at Every Picture Tells A Story after the Q&A

Supposedly not liked by founder Jimmy Wales because he felt it was out of date and didn't talk enough about the community behind Wiki. The movie has taken a long time to come out and I can understand if he feels the movie is now outdated. However it's always nice to see something from a different angle. Many feel Wikipedia can mess up, so I feel it's fine that someone can look into it. The doc is also suppose to explain how articles are published on the site and the process might be fun to find out, with revisions and everyone having access to the site.
Wikipedia's 10th Anniversary Party
Happening all over the world , LA has it's own shindig with free t-shirts in March.  The 10th Anniversary of Wikipedia is being celebrated here at the LA Convention Center. You must have used Wiki at some point just to find something out. I kind of wonder what it will be like. What kind of party could it be when Wikipedia is so diverse?
