Metro Screws Over LA Welcome to the $7 Day Pass

The MTA Board voted in new rates for the use of Metro services today. Come September one way fairs are up to $1.75 from $1.50. The day pass will be $7 from $5 and monthly passes will be $100 up from $75. This is on news of the Purple line getting 1.8 billion dollars in federal funding.

This is detrimental for those on low incomes trying to make it in LA, TTDILA wonders how one of the largest bus and rail lines can be run so poorly.

Not currently in affect is the 2 hour free transfers. Until that does go in affect, some time between now and the fair hike, residents have to pay for every transfer on the line, which has caused much confusion and time wasting when someone purchases a fair that uses more than one of the different rail and bus lines.

"If you look at the expenses, the redundancies, the consultants, all the things that are going on, you know what I’m talking about," Molina said. "MTA needs to go back to the drawing board "
