Freud Playhouse
$40 - $65 ($20 UCLA Students)
Acclaimed interpreters of classic texts, London’s Cheek By Jowl, led by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod, turns its focus to Jacobean-era dramatist John Ford’s violent and bloody drama, which chronicles a brother and sister's passionate descent into hell. Incest, morality, religion and corruption all intertwine to make ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore as provocative and controversial today as it was 400 years ago.
