Engagement Party: Social Practice at MOCA, 2008–2012 Book Launch

MOCA Engagement parties have been hot spots for people craving art in this city over the years. Usually one night events of strange art that you were a part of. I remember the earliest having a toy race car going through the MOCA that you controlled like a video game. I've covered so many of them over the years on the site. It will be interesting to see how they were recorded in the annals of history. Some time the Engagements were not what you were expecting and issues with technical problems would come up, but they left people thinking and have been a great social meet-ups.

"Engagement Party: Social Practice at MOCA, 2008–2012. This comprehensive, fully illustrated examination of the artworks created during the run of MOCA's Engagement Party program is the first museum publication to deal in depth with the emerging discipline of
social practice in the visual arts."
