The Japanese Garden

The Japanese Garden 6100 Woodley Ave, Van Nuys, California, 91406

If you want a place to relax and meditate or just see some scenic views try "The Japanese Garden". As you can see below it has some wonderful sights to calm yourself and let you ponder life. It's also very nice for a date, smooch country was underway at a lot of spots while I traveled through. The 6 and 1/2 acres will let you wander the place  for some time to admire all the flora and fauna.

It reminded me of the Japanese Garden of the Huntingon Library set to re-open April 2012

Be careful of the strict policies, they're open Sunday-Thursday. You have to check in at the gate with your driver's license, you will be carded. Parking is free, admission is $3 for adults and $2 for seniors and kids. No student discount. They close at 4pm, but close the gate at 3:15pm.You are given a sticker like at a museum, if you don't have it your booted out.

It has aged since the 80's when it was constructed, but only in few parts. I'm somewhat baffled at some simple repairs that could be made. One might notice the first gate is missing, even tough it's talked about in the brochure. Other problems include some pipes not working near, the almost evil organization looking Administration Building you can enter.

Possibly the strangest part is that it's all reclaimed water, which means it's near a water treatment plant, I suggest not going to the overview of the plant section hidden far away from all the plants, it's a gross sight. It's very far off and unless your trying to find it you won't.
