Danny DeVito Doesn't Even Know What Pokemon Is Probably Won't Be Detective Pikachu

Recently, DeVito was at a special event at the LA Paley Center for Media, "An Evening with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia." The event took place on April 1st with the rest of the main cast and the announcement of the show being renewed for a 13th and 14th season. Danny DeVito plays the incorrigible Frank Reynolds on the show to fan acclaim. At the end of the panel, yours truly asked if he was aware about fans wanting him to voice Detective Pikachu, a talking Pikachu in a 3DS video game yet to be released in North America where you have to solve mysteries.

"No," Danny DeVito said calmly, to my questions. Both of being aware fans want him to voice the character and no to do it if asked. He added, "I don't know what you're talking about." Then he asked his colleagues on stage what I was talking about, referring to Detective Pikachu and Pokemon. Confused he asked, "What the f*ck is Pokemon?" The audience and myself then laughed like crazy.

Shortly after saying that Danny seemed to change his tune referring to his agent who he said was sitting in the front row. Telling me to talk to him about it.

Update: Here's the actual audio
