LA EigaFest Business Panel Reveals

The LA EigaFest Business panel happening this Saturday has many reveals of upcoming anime films in development through panelists attending bios, these seem to be live action remakes. There looks to be an attempt at an American version of Death Note.

"He currently is stepping behind the camera for the feature film adaption of the worldwide anime phenomenon “Bleach,” which he will produce along with Callahan Filmworks and VIZ Productions."

Jason Hoffs (Head of Production, VIZ Productions)

"VIZ Productions (Hoffs and Executive Producer Hidemi Fukuhara) is currently producing the upcoming Warner Bros. release EDGE OF TOMORROW, based on the light novel ALL YOU NEED IS KILL by Sakurazaka Hiroshi. The film stars Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, is directed by Doug Liman (THE BOURNE IDENTITY) and is scheduled for release June 6, 2014. Other VIZ Productions films in development at Warner Bros. pictures include an adaptation of the classic science fiction novel YUKIKAZE by Kambayashi Chohei, which will also star Tom Cruise, and an adaptation of the world-famous graphic novel DEATH NOTE."
