Twitch Plays Pokemon Over Let Us Never Forget Flareon

Flareon's, the false prophet, flame had been extinguished long ago and now the original Twitch Plays Pokemon is blown away too. After 17 days all badges were collected and the Elite Four were defeated. Even though the continue option was chosen for the bizarre game where thousands could play Pokemon together at once via chat the experiment of Twitch Plays Pokemon has ended it's initial run. There will be no collecting them all, no Mewtwo for the Pokedex. A new version has launched on the channel, Pokemon Crystal. The still mysterious Australian creator has not given reason why the game had to end ... for now.

After so few days on the Earth Twitch Plays Pokemon generated its own subculture with memes and fans all over the world. Many like myself were surprised to learn the game ended so quickly with so many at the helm guiding our Pokemon Trainer Red to such levels of insanity that to any third person watching said trainer would look like an insane person.

Now new memes and stories are set to take the scene. Have fun with LazorGator, a totodile and Admiral ADiiiihhh, a sentret on your new team. One hopes some sort of realization about polotics or the stock market is resolved in this new adventure.

Never Forget Flareon!

If Twitch Plays Pokemon has you for a Pokemon fix you can meetup and play the game with other trainers this Sunday.
