Breadologie Bakery & 85°C Bakery Cafe Northridge

We need pastries, stat! Bring them to us! Feeling that way in this recent cold weather? 2/22/18 as reference date, if weather now warm.

If in the Northridge area why not try these two places out: Breadologie Bakery & 85°C Bakery Cafe.

Breadologie Bakery might be a small, hole-in-the wall, but it's brimming with fresh flaky goodness. This bakery is known for its breakfast fare. Mainly you'll want to take a bite from their croissants though. The best known one being their Almond Croissant. We recently tried that one, which was almost sold out and it made for a perfect piece of fluffy and flaky breakfast munching.

As it's a real bakery with everything coming out fresh they have other options including the simple, but beloved art of making fresh bread. A wide selection to choose from awaits you. You can also feast on donuts or danish tarts with whatever else is ready to go. Everything made fresh for the day get sold out quick, when it's the known favorite.

The place is also known for its Eggywhich, a breakfast sandwich that's been getting high ratings on social media.

Weekends will be the most busy for brunches and the fact that they only make pizza on Saturday and Sunday.

Please check out their selection in the future and the earlier the better, they close by 2pm almost everyday.

Now the 85°C Bakery Cafe is a whole other animal. We mean, it's still a bakery, but it has a lot more space, it's part of a chain of bakeries and has a lot more options and drinks. The one in Nortridge  recently opened up near the Northridge Mall in December, not in it, but near it and has a wide selection of baked goods to choose.

A big difference is that you choose and pick up what you want. Baked goods of all types, many of which have a Korean style, are picked up from different easy to open plastic kiosks. Baked fresh and placed in their different kiosks it might make you feel overwhelmed on what to get. You put what you want on your platter with provided tongs then get in line to pay and order their wide selection of teas and other drinks.

There's also a nice desert section for specialty cakes and other goodies kept cold.

Another difference is the price. Many of the baked goods aren't that much money, so you might try more than one as there's so many to choose from.
