Bob’s Burgers latest episode, Hawk & Chick, parodies Lone Wolf and Cub, the long time, brought to you by Dark Horse manga about a father and son team in ancient Japan. The episode of Hawk and Chick takes the idea and changes it to a series of bad kaju monster movies with a father/daughter team. Instead of being wandering assassins, like in the very brutal manga, the new team is a pair of traveling barbers.
I have to give props to Bob's Burgers for bringing some obscure Japanese manga and film love, secret cinema screening love and old sitcom hijinks all in one episode that's actually kind of touching. Check out the episode Japan fans.
