Square Enix Cafe, Not Today

 

 

The Get Played Podcast, a favorite of ours, visited the brand new Square Enix Cafe in Little Tokyo. To put it mildly, they were not impressed. Let's say airport food was said. And, when I poked into see it, can't say the ambience was really there either. Still, the place was booked for a week during AX, which makes sense. Here's hoping they can change it up and put some more effort into it. As of writing this, the place has 2 stars on Yelp.

 

If you want a Japanese cafe experience I recommend, Pasta e Pasta by Allegro, very close by instead.
It's not game themed, but carries a 4 & 1/2 star rating on Yelp, as of writing this. It's a LA offshoot of Tokyo-based Trattoria Pizzeria Allegro, which is an Italian and Japanese fusion chain.

 It's kind of a let down. Was hoping more from this place.
