Pie and coffee go together like … David Lynch and strange movies. Odd as the director’s oeuvre is, Lynch’s films continue to resonate with popular culture years after more conventional fare has faded from memory. With a new version of “Twin Peaks” set to air on Showtime starting May 21, we’re serving up several double features pairing Lynch’s work with films that seem strangely connected.

Cartoon awards! We might not have directly covered it for a year or two, but we still the love the majesty, the grace...ah we're full of it, it's the best train wreck in awards shows for locals. Why is Kobe Bryant presenting? He has no relation to cartoons. And I said presenting because this show gave up on hosts? And no matter how much you want your cartoon to win, it won't. Jeez DreamWorks, you can buy the awards, but not talent.
