Horror Movies and Politics Are Killing Film Festivals https://t.co/muisVuH2Qp

Since the Hollywood Reporter let director Joseph Kahn have an opinion piece go up, it was immediately greeted with dismay. Not for just he's weird takes, but for the nonsensical writing. It's hard to get a bead on whatever his point is.
Perhaps, in his mind, that horror films having political themes is bad or people adding political themes that aren't there is bad for film fests. I'm not quite sure and I'm not sure he is either. It's really all over the place. If anything it seems like he's a director of the 80's coked out of his mind and was let to write down his thoughts after a big bump. A terrible funny read.
"By night, it’s a meat market, serving face-peeling gore to the poors." -Kahn
Dude, it's just people enjoying horror films.
It’s pretty crazy to publish a “column” that ultimately ends up being about how horror fans are poor unwashed morons. Like what was the point of this? Some anti “woke” tirade would have at least felt like it had a point but the “politics” part of this is just tangential at best.
