Tom the postgirl Review: It Feels Like Someone's Watching Me, And I Have No Privacy

 By Jonathan Bilski

Dear Tom,

Why are you such a little freak? You delivered my package crazily knocking on my door way too much. Not getting the hint to leave when I slammed it in your face you stuck around. Then, you peeked through every window, vent, blind, keyhole and crack in the wall-note to self, get that patched- to my dismay. You're nothing more than a peeping-Tom, guuurrlll! You best check yourself, before you deliver a package to my abode again. And, the neighbors seems to agree with me.

Love,
Man who wears furry costume in private and looks at jars of things, we made eye contact.

Oh Europe, what have you given us now? A point-n-click adventure of an annoying little brat-that's you-who is looking at every-bodies secrets while delivering mail. Put this in a bundle with Thank Goodness You're Here!, except you're trying to help people in that one. Thank Goodness is a lot more polished than this one, but the charm of this is trying to figure out what is going on. In Postgirl, your just helping yourself to stalk everyone. You play as Tom a mischievous little lady who likes two things: delivering mail, stealing and spying on people... you like three things. It's kind of hazy, because the game gets weird real fast.

What might start off as a kind of cozy but weird adventure of delivering packages becomes a much
stranger and more adult themed adventure. Yeah, this is not for kids with the nudity and some adult humor, which I totally loved. If your older and a have a few hours, the games not that long, then you're in for a silly adventure to click away at and write scribbly on.

It looks like a children's book, but no kid should every read it. Not with what's going on at the farm or really anywhere. Before and after you deliver mail you can peer into people's homes and see what they're up to. That's the real fun of the game, spying on people, seeing how weird they are. That and being a jerk as you may have a penchant for a five-finger discount, but a lot of that is a decision you want to make to complete side quests. You can be a goody two-shows, but that might not be as fun an adventure. And, you're already a bit of a perv spying on everyone.

I don't want to go into detail, because the real fun of the game is discovery or perving out? Spying might be a better way to say it. Yeah, spying on people.

Be the pervert you've always wanted to be and spy on your neighbors with no repercussions like you would in real life.

Tom the postgirl! is out on Steam and Switch starting today Oct 29
