collaborations.
Year competition and The Scoop Collective, a limited experience featuring exclusive local
collaborations.
You can read more about each below from the press release:
For the first time, participating frozen treat makers will enter one of their flavors for the chance to
be named Scoop Palm Springs Best Flavor of the Year. During the festival, David Cox of Dining
with the Davids will guide a panel of judges through a live taste test of the competing flavors.
This year’s judges include:
● Luna Barrios, Executive Pastry Chef, Grand Hyatt Indian Wells
● Juan Morales, Executive Chef, Agua Caliente Rancho Mirage
● Deven Green and Handsome Ned, Palm Springs personalities
The competition will unfold live throughout the festival as judges sample entries from
participating makers before a Best Flavor of the Year is crowned.
Also new this year, The Scoop Collective will offer a more curated festival experience featuring
collaborations created exclusively for Scoop Palm Springs. The limited experience brings
together local ice cream and gelato makers with Coachella Valley culinary, coffee and creative
businesses for one-of-a-kind treats and extras.
Collaborations include an exclusive ice cream sandwich from Con Amor, Nina y Leon x I
Scream, along with mini affogatos created by SOTToVOCE Café x Gelato Granucci. Scoop
Collective ticket holders will also receive a custom-engraved ice cream scooper from Signed by
Alex, a mini curated bouquet from Flor Del Mar, a Scoop tote, bandana and temporary tattoos,
with water provided by Desert Water Agency.
Additional festival highlights include:
● More than 20 local ice cream, gelato, paleta and frozen treat makers
● More than 50 flavors to discover
● Live music by DJ MODGIRL
● Kids Zone by Palm Springs Parks & Recreation
● Photo booth experience by Party Life Photo Booth
● Hollandia Dairy activation with samples and giveaways
● Community food drive benefiting The LGBTQ Center’s Community Food Bank
● Blue Zones Project Palm Springs Shake Bike, where guests can pedal to blend their own
shake and learn more about living a longer, healthier life
Benefiting The LGBTQ Center’s Community Food Bank, the festival will bring together more
than 20 of the Coachella Valley’s top ice cream, gelato, paleta and frozen treat makers for an
afternoon of tastings, live music, family-friendly activities and community connection. One
hundred percent of net proceeds will be donated to the Community Food Bank, which provides
free nutritious food to more than 500 local families and individuals each week.

encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to support the community food drive.
