Weekly What To Do: Nisei Week Is Longer Than A Week

Gotta say there's lot of comedy shows at The Largo right now as comedians can't write for shows and movies during the strike. Great to see a lot of big names in person.

Initiated in 2013, the LA Art Book Fair (LAABF) is a celebration and international gathering for artists’ book publishers to distribute their work, connect to a broad audience, and nurture new and longstanding relationships. The Fair will feature a wide range of artists and collectives, small presses, institutions, galleries, antiquarian booksellers, and distributors, as well as a full calendar of book launches, discussions, performances, and special projects that highlight interdisciplinary artists’ publishing practices.

It's one of our favorite festivals of the year, sorry Chinatown's Golden Dragon Parade/ Festival. Check out Little Tokyo over the next two weekends to see it come even more alive than usual with a parade and festival booths. Streets will be closed off for the parade this weekend on the 13th, so you might wanna park a little further away or take the Metro.

Explore art, culture, and place along the LA River in a monthly series of guided walks where the River is the lead artist and teacher.
To promote the highly anticipated Prime Video film, “Red, White & Royal Blue,” a show stopping, film-themed, double decker karaoke bus will take to the streets of Los Angeles on Sunday, August 13. 
Beginning at 10:30am PST, Angelenos can hop on and unleash their inner rock star. Just as Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine) captured the heart of Alex Clairemont-Diaz (Taylor Zakhar Perez) with an impromptu karaoke number, fans can take their own chance at finding love and serenade strangers to a curated enemies-to-lovers themed setlist perfectly tied to the film.
