We're paying for electric cars that the LAPD doesn't use very much. The program from 2016, that cost $10.2 million, has the LAPD having a fleet of 100 electric BMWs.
CBS LA reported on the misuse (going to a nail salon) or non-use of the vehicles. They're basically just in some garage not being used.
