The Punisher's Bad Guys Watch ABC7

Marc Brown reporting

all bad guys use tablets

Many might remember when John Beard of Fox's local news, years back, would appear on the Spider-Man: The Animated Series cartoon on Fox as himself. Why he was a reporter in New York made little sense, still it was strange to see him being a reporter in a cartoon show commenting on Spider-Man as he really did tell you the news at night here in LA.  Oh, Chrstne DeVine , what happened? In the latest Punisher, #16, we have a small cameo by none other than ABC7 and one of it's well known anchors, Marc Brown.

For a little backlog, I'll go over what's been happening with ol' Skullface. A part of the U.S. Government has set him up to take the fall for causing major riots in LA after trying to stop the Dos Soles Gang from taking over the city. Skullface is in Washington D.C. to figure out whose behind it all. Readers are getting their news and so is Frank's enemies via ABC7 on tablets.

Marc Brown is in only one panel and it's obviously him. This well known anchor has been on ABC7 since 1989 and is on almost every day of the week. He's a co-anchor for ABC7 Eyewitness News at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. I could have chosen any other photo of him, however the image above has been bouncing around the net for years; those further away from LA might get a kick about knowing who he is. He's very well liked around LA and like most local reporters is commonly at many community events around the city.

Hopefully, will get KTLA 5's Sam Rubin in a future cameo mistaking Crossbones for Punisher. He's the same reporter who mistook Samuel L. Jackson for Laurence Fishburne.
