KPop Demon Hunters Annie Awards Winners & Coming To Criterion Collection & New Evangelion Series Coming

KPop Demon Hunters won best feature at the Annie Awards and in 9 other categories this year. You might recall the Anni Awards is like the Oscars of the animation industry. We've covered it over the years for how...fun and strange the ceremony was. However, Covid caused it to become an online event, which was in no way as as fun as seeing animators and voice actors come out in person to compaling and pick up awards. We're glad it's back.

Another win for KPop Demon Hunters is the news it'll becoming part of the vaunted Criterion Collection. As we were explaining to friends, any movie selected for the Criterion Collection makes it a big deal. Criterion prides itself at being the best release of the film quality wise with the best features like commentary and special extras, like hot it was made or behind the scenes footage.

Just being part of the collection is kind of an honor to any filmmaker.

Evas back, back again? What was pretty much a wrap-up with the last film has not stopped the Evangelion franchise from stopping. Now we're getting a new anime from some of the people who made the NieR game. Yeesh, this is gonna be dark, but probably with some crazy good mech battle animation, let's see where it goes.
