Hype: Cartoon Cartoons Back, What A Wonderful World: An Audiovisual Poem, Exit 8, Scott Pilgrim EX & ZWAARD

As WB's slowly slides away into Netflix or whatever nonsense it gets into, it's also debuting brand new cartoons every Monday on its YouTube channel. Essentially a pilot program to see what could be picked up for a series, Cartoon Cartoons is a showcase of an animator's new work.

Ughh, though it should be airing on Cartoon Network or Max it's airing now on WB's YouTube channel. Even sadder is the fact that they were finished ages ago and we mean years. For whatever reason they are slowly coming out now, so enjoy'em.

Now- March 2
VARIETY ARTS THEATER, LOS ANGELES
940 S Figueroa St
Los Angeles, California 90015
Free, Must Reserve Tickets

You can read more about it over at PBS SoCal, but essentially an artist Julia Stoschek takes a trippy look at storytelling through the ages through a major art installation with other artists for free.

Didn't have Neon grabbing this on my scorecard for this year, but we're getting the indie game adapted horror movie Exit 8 in theaters this April. It's from Japan and has a young man seemingly trapped in a repeating subway tunnel nightmare.

We think it might become a cult hit either in theaters on streaming. Like the game, it looks like our movie protagonist can figure a way out...but, might screw up on the way.

Staying on gaming, Scott Pilgrim EX is out March 3rd and is being made by Tribute Games, which has a pretty good track record with old school style games. I think some of the staff might of helped created the original game too. Oh, they did get Paul Roberston, the original lead artist for this one.

Still looking forward to ZWAARD, hope it comes out this year.
