Future LA Events: Hollywood Bowl 80's-90's Disney & Marvel Shows, Cyberpunk Academy Museum & Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift

Here's some news on what's coming to LA in the coming months and years. We already just did a post on Meow Wolf LA and that won't be happening till 2026.


Coming to the Hollywood Bowl is Disney ’80s – ’90s Celebration in Concert for July 19-20; tickets just went on sale. This event has songs from Disney's best era, the one you group up in, f the 2000's. You'll have songs from: “Hercules,” “A Goofy Movie,” “Toy Story,” “A Bugs Life,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Newsies,” “Aladdin,” “Tarzan,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Pocahontas,” “The Lion King” and many more.
 
Then in August 30-31st, after you get to know the bowl, you have Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga Concert Experience.

From the press release: "The concert will take fans on a never-before-experienced film concert journey that showcases some of the most memorable moments from many of the biggest movies of this generation. The scores and songs of Marvels’ Infinity Saga movies will be performed live, bringing together some of the most unforgettable moments of the franchise. This includes the iconic theme from “The Avengers” and the show-stopping "Portals" from “Avengers: Endgame,” creating an engaging and unforgettable experience. The show will also include stunning mapped projections on the Bowl shell, taking fans on an epic journey through the MCU."

Coming to the Academy Museum for October an exhibit on everything cyberpunk, a look at the future that seems very 80's at this point.

Press release:
"Cyberpunk: Envisioning Possible Futures Through Cinema examines the global impact and lasting influence of the science fiction subgenre cyberpunk on film culture. Featuring near-future scenarios set in worlds that resemble our own, cyberpunk films juxtapose technological advances with social disorder, ecological crisis, and urban decay. Central to these stories are antihero characters who fight against corrupt political systems and global mega-corporations.

The Academy Museum's exhibition will feature costumes, props, concept art, and posters from iconic cyberpunk films such as Blade Runner..."
 
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift a high-speed outdoor roller coaster is driving on up to Universal Studios...in 2026. We'll hold out for more for Nintendo World.
