"Hiruko the Goblin has been added to the
JAPAN CUTS: Festival of New Japanese Film slate for its
international premiere. As part of its 30th anniversary celebration, the
film has received a meticulous 2K restoration in which it’s “eerie meld
of camp, horror, and fever-dream surrealism” glows even
brighter."
Hopefully, the new 2K version will be ready this October for home video and streaming.
