Halloween 2020: Halloween Is Cancelled, Halloween at Descanso & Michael's Halloween

Halloween is officially cancelled in LA County. It's one of the saddest things we've ever had to write. You can't go trick or treating or even mall trick or treating. Not even in Church parking lot, car trunk, trick or treating this year. No parties either. It sucks.

This comes from county health officials as of writing this. There's no talk about what penalties will be involving you trying to get candy from a neighbor in a costume Oct 31st, but we assume a hefty fine. And parties with large groups are suppose to have their homes water and power shut off. So far the parties in LA that have been getting caught have been rentals.

Drive-thru haunts and what we recommend remain legit and are okay. But sadly, this means kids won't enjoy Halloween as it's been celebrated for lifetimes. No candy!!!

We'll keep giving you alternatives for anything Halloween to do around LA.
On of those things is Halloween at Descanso
Oct 1-31
Advance ticketing is required for non-members and can be purchased at beginning Monday, September 28 at 10am. On Halloween night, Saturday, October 31, extended hours will be reserved for members at the Family Plus level and above.

Throughout the month of October, celebrate Halloween at Descanso, a pumpkin-filled extravaganza that invites guests to safely wind their way through socially-distanced, pumpkin-themed displays in the most popular sections of Descanso Gardens.

Children 14 and under are invited to wear their costumes – and masks – as they explore and enjoy autumn in the Gardens. The Kitchen at Descanso will have a variety of warm, fall-inspired drinks and soups available, along with such seasonal favorites as caramel corn and churros.

Michael's Halloween section is up for all your decorating needs. Stop by to make your place a little more spooky. Boo It Yourself.
