Valentine's Day Massacre: Guns & Piranhas

Let's be like the supermarkets and Target/Walmart and start planning Valentine's Day early. It's our Valentine's Day Massacre plans below. We have no doubt that they'll be some other strange fun thing to do in LA on Feb 14th, but for now we have these things to do:

Head to the LA Gun Club
11:00am -11:00pm
1375 East 6th St.
Los Angeles, CA 90021
$54 and up for two

Ah, there's nothing quite like shooting a glock on Valentine's Day. Yes, couples and groups of friends who are couples love going to the gun range. It's a place to live out the American dream from movies. And, it is geared to noobies at this one downtown. It's LA and the LA Gun Club knows it might be your first time trying out guns. They have a huge selection for you to try from. It's like a kid in a candy store, except in no way, because these are guns.

After going over how it works and to not look down the barrel to see if your bullets go stuck. You choose what weapons you want, pay for renting them and the bullets and then get into the que to go bang bang. It's fun to try at least once and a nice conversation on where or what you did for V Day.

The other bonus is seeing those lonely people. They come to "work out" their issues...by shooting a gun at a target. A sight to behold, I've heard. So watch as someone gets revenge on a paper target who broke their heart. We have heard Gun Club really mention this. Remember people can't go to gun rnages for Christmas and New Year's, this is the closes holiday for those who want to go blast some caps in some paper target a$$.

GO SEE PIRANHA / THE HOWLING WITH JOE Dante
7:30pm
Egyptian Theatre
6712 Hollywood Boulevard
Hollywood, CA 90028
$12

See some horror films with Joe Dante, if he shows up, but definitely John Sayles, who wrote both of the films will be there for insight into the scares. And plenty parts for when your baby will scream and come into your arms...or at least scream in your ear.
Discussion between films with screenwriter John Sayles and director Joe Dante (schedule permitting). Join us at 6:30 PM in the lobby, where Sayles will sign his new book, Yellow Earth.
