Pasadena Tastes Good: Meat District Co. & Fair Oaks Pharmacy

Meat District Co.
69 N Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA 91103
(626) 765-9902

Why can't more places taste as good or be as fun as Meat District Co. Its menu is in the shape of a meat clever as are the wood platters the food comes to you on. You can see the food be made in front of you or even look in their windowed kitchen and meat locker. Cutlery hanging like museum pieces as decor and a huge venue to accommodate couples to large crowds. Tears in my eyes.

Big juicy burgers or steak from fine cuts of meat are all waiting to touch your toungue. You, my friend, can get a hanging kebab, called, "The Hook." The large selection of meat will have you drooling for more, your stomach will already be full before it knows what hit it. So many rib combos and beers to wash it all down.

Meat District Co. shows off as another great address you'll have to remember in the easily walkable Oldtown Pasadena. You might have some trouble walking after eating that much grilled goodness. Just savor the taste and come back for more next sporting event.

Fair Oaks Pharmacy
1526 Mission St, South Pasadena, CA 91030
(626) 799-1414

For one hundred years the prophecy foretold of a pharmacy ... well, it is one hundred years old and still serves quite yummy ice cream. They even have an ice cream challenge, can you finish in time? This "pharmacy" is more of a restaurant with a kitschy gift shop for tourists. What this place has is a long list of desserts that had everyone gorging on around us as we only got a lousy soda drink. If you're going here, don't go for the soup of the day or a burger, you and your friends are going for delectable desserts. Here's the dessert menu, peruse and then be ready to choose. Maybe even try the ice cream challenge!

With a fun atmosphere and mouth-watering desserts head over for one of those times when you forget diets exists or being healthy is a thing. Healthy, I'll be healthy after this Banana Blitz. The fruit in it makes it healthy, right, right?
