Basically, the movie theaters of the country are saying, "NO." The Hollywood Reporter just released this article on the theater chains not wanting really anyone to buy Warner Bros as it creates a monopolyand weakens the market on competition and movies even being made.

We're not happy about any of the buyouts and monopolies over recent years from any of the major studios. All in all, it's made it harder for movies to be made and made it worse for everyone in the industry, except the very tippy-top who just collect money with seemingly no care about the people, jobs or even what's being made.
We're still gonna see some amazing films, but the breath of which we could have is grown so much smaller.
