As Christmas comes in so does "tHe v0iD" the yearly specter of nothing to do. Things close down, events aren't happening, a general malaise of Christmas get-togethers grind everything to a halt. Still, remember, we have a lot of theaters and many Chinese restaurants. Until next week, when nadda is happening till New Year's, will give you what's left.

Zombie Joe's Underground Theatre Group invites you to Celebrate 20 Years of URBAN DEATH this Haunted-Holiday Season with Our Ghoulishly-New, Fun n' Freaky Maze + Theatre Attraction URBAN DEATH XMAS...reaching into the deepest, darkest corners of your winter solstice. Experience a heart-pounding nightscape of inexplicable holiday-horrors, unfathomable yuletide monstrosities, and the tortured spirits of Christmas past that lurk among us!
Thrill-seeking guests must first travel through a twisted spine-chilling wintertime Maze (seething with the blackened slime of O' Naughty N' Nice) to continue into our theatre for our URBAN DEATH XMAS performance of riveting, grotesque vignettes and mind-blowing physical performances. Guests will then face an entirely different set of frights and fears as they traverse a 2nd freakishly-deranged Maze as they courageously return back to the true nightmare of real life.

The Muppet Script returns to bring you THE MUPPET SCRIPTMAS CAROL! When most people think of the Muppets, they think of the colorful characters made out of fleece and foam. But as with every movie, it all starts on the written page. Before returning to the big screen, the Muppets team returned to the writers' room. Muppets scribe JERRY JUHL was inspired by CHARLES DICKENS’ classic holiday tale to take the gang to merry old London in the 1800’s, in their first movie without creator JIM HENSON, directed by his son, BRIAN HENSON. The movie featured the return of maestro PAUL WILLIAMS to craft a soundtrack that is just as timeless as Dickens’s original novel.

Made in L.A. 2025 is the seventh iteration of the Hammer’s signature biennial exhibition that showcases artists practicing throughout the greater Los Angeles area. The 28 participants in the exhibition present work not only made in the city but also grounded in its complex and unfolding terrain. Neither myth nor monolith, Los Angeles is many things to many people, and its dissonance is perhaps its most distinguishing feature. The works presented in this year’s biennial include film, painting, theater, choreography, photography, sculpture, sound, and video. Attitude draws them together: Each engages with this city in ways alternately literal, formal, material, and metaphoric. Conceived or made in Los Angeles, they are of this city and nowhere else.

Drawing
is a skill, gained like any other through study and practice. Combining
the movement of the hand with the dedication of the mind, drawing was
considered the foundation of the arts of painting, sculpture, and
architecture since the Renaissance. Proficiency in drawing was critical
for exploring, inventing, and communicating ideas visually, but how was
this foundational ability actually learned? This exhibition explores
artistic training and the mastery of drawing in Europe from about 1550
to 1850.
