Here's a few games to check out, sadly some are still so new you can't even pre-order them. Oh, and save your money a few more days as the Winter Steam Sale should be starting Dec 18th.
Beyond Words is like a mix of Scrabble and a roguelike. Easily a very addictive game, play the demo out on steam. Not sure why it's important from their marketing view that the creators of GoldenEye & TimeSplitters made this. It's not a shooter.

Virtue and a SledgehammerDrywall Eating Simulator is a physics-based 3D adventure game where you are pushed to the limits of human (or nonhuman) tolerance by the people you encounter in our world, and the only pressure release that you have is in the name of the game (eating drywall)
