Not happy to hear this, the Toronto International Film Festival or TIFF is in trouble after dropping a film, then bringing it back. Just a reminder TIFF is not related to the Fantasia Film Festival also held in Canada and much cooler. So, TIFF took out the Israel Oct. 7 documentary
The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue. It shares the story of a man out to save his family, including his two granddaughters after the Oct 7 attack on Israel. That man is Retired Israel Defense Forces General Noam Tibon whose story was originally covered by 60 Minutes.
TIFF gave some very lame excuses on why it was pulled and then immediately brought it back. But, it doesn't end there, as now over 1,000 people in the entertainment industry signed an open letter criticizing the festival for it's lack of fairness and what many equate to fear and antisemitism.
