Palm Springs International Film Festival Starts Jan 2nd

The new year approaches and so does the Palm Springs International Film Festival, Jan 2-13th. Jeez, it's probably the first film festival out of the gate for the new year. Too many movies to choose from it always a good amount. We'll be covering what we can.

Oh, here's a few places to visit if you head out

Palm Springs Adventure: Hadley's, On The Mark, Monster Shakes, Re[X] & The Transilvania European Food Store

Tickets and the guide for the 36th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival are out now.

Here's some of our top picks to see in 2025.

TWILIGHT OF THE WARRIORS: WALLED IN

The densely populated Kowloon Walled City becomes a battleground between ruthless crime boss Mr. Big and a fierce band of protectors led by the citadel's formidable leader, Cyclone. Meanwhile, a young refugee is caught in the martial arts melee in this nerve-jangling action spectacular.

Universal Language

In this whimsical ensemble comedy, two kids find a banknote frozen in ice, a tour guide leads baffled visitors, and a government drone returns home to uncover something amiss with his family, creating a mosaic of wintry Winnipeg that’s both comically surreal and profoundly human.

Space Cowboy

This is the high-flying story of Joe Jennings, a pioneer of skydiving cinematography and Hollywood's go-to man for gasp-inducing aerial stunts. A man most at home free-falling through space, he attempts the one stunt that has eluded him throughout his death-defying life.

Kill The Jockey

In this entertaining equestrian-themed psychological thriller-comedy, a legendary jockey on a downward spiral must compete for a powerful gangster. A catastrophic race brings life-altering, gender-bending, and romantic consequences for everyone involved.

Bad Shabbos
Winner of the 2024 Tribeca Audience Award, this fast-paced comedy follows a New York Sabbath dinner that spirals hilariously out of control as several generations of modern Jews grapple with the tensions between secular and religious life – all while contending with a dead body in the bathroom.
