"Knott’s Scary Farm is the longest-running and most haunting Halloween theme park event in Southern California. With over 50 years of nightmares, unimaginable scares and innovative thrills, Knott’s Scary Farm has left no tomb unearthed, no crypt un-rattled and no fear untouched.

New Offerings

Mary - The Haunting of Worth Home (Maze)
Venture into that creepy house at the end of the street.  Within the walls hides a terrifying secret. No one foolish enough to go in there has ever come back out alive.  But I’m sure this time it will be different, right? Be careful not to stare into the mirrors too long…you never know what’s staring back from the other side.

The Zoo (Maze)
Something has taken over the abandoned zoo.  What was once a lively showcase of exotic animals has been transformed into a terrifying laboratory of animal/human experiments.  Hybrid creatures have turned on their creators, and the compound is crawling with mutant soldiers thirsty for revenge. Rumors are swirling that the mutated monsters are planning something that will change everything!

We're glad Dark Harbor is back, the whole Shaq themed Halloween was funny, but made no sense. And they never used the name Haunted Shaq.

"Each fall the Queen Mary transforms the ship and surrounding harbor into a massive Halloween festival featuring haunted mazes, hundreds of monsters, immersive attractions, live entertainment, VIP experiences, themed bars and lounges, carnival rides, festive eats and treats, instagrammable moments and more!"

Los Angeles Haunted Hayride
select nights SEPT 19 - NOV 2
Griffith Park 4730 Crystal Springs Drive Los Angeles, CA, 90027

One of our favorites of the season. You get on a hayride and get driven into the scares. We've enjoyed the different themes per year and hope they keep coming up with some awesome new ideas.

This year they've team up with Elvira? Yes, the Mistress of the Dark is part of the scares this year with a specially themed haunt and her voice being part of the hayride itself as your own night DJ.

Select nights from September 19 through November 1
Castle Park
3500 Polk St, Riverside, CA 92505

A smaller theme park in the outer area of SoCal, but a bigger haunt for those close enough who can't make it to the bigger parks.

"The Storyteller has torn the final pages from Castle Dark’s past, erasing the old king and queen from memory. In their place, he opens three chilling new tales: Feary Tales, Midnight Manor, and Containment Breach, each more twisted than the last. The castle’s story isn’t over… it’s only just begun.

Castle Dark at Castle Park runs select nights during the fall season for guests looking for a scary haunt experience around the corner. Now in its 17th year, the event was recently recognized by USA Today as the #3 Theme Park Halloween Haunt in the country for 2024, #5 in 2023. Castle Dark takes place inside Castle Park, where ghostly figures, monsters, and more take over during the night."

Always considered the top tier haunt to do, we can't wait hear how this year goes.

Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter Here

The famed inscription adorns the arched entryway leading into the belly of Pagan’s Path; a supernatural cult that has taken the metaphors of Dante’s Inferno far too literally, seducing followers through the circles of hell as a necessary preparation for the afterlife.

Like previous Delusion productions, Harrowing Of Hell furthers their novel “moving play” concept. Guests move through a storied venue as they play their part in a haunting, live narrative that unfolds around them.

For 2025, we will also introduce a vastly improved lounge experience that encompasses two floors. Enjoy themed spirits, food, and seductive music to revel in your sinful ways!

Magic of the Jack O' Lanterns
SELECT NIGHTS SEPT 19 - NOV 2
South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes
26300 Crenshaw Boulevard
Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA 90274

"This fall, Magic of the Jack O’ Lanterns returns to Southern California — now at the stunning South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes. If you joined us at Whittier Narrows, get ready for a whole new kind of enchantment. This year’s event is reimagined through the luminous beauty of Enchanted Hollow — a place where nature glows, jack-o’-lanterns shimmer, and wonder lives around every bend.
Now set within the lush, winding trails of one of SoCal’s most beautiful botanic gardens and featuring over 10,000 carved jack o’ lanterns, this year’s show feels more immersive, more atmospheric, and more magical than ever. With a mile-long walking trail, the experience is longer and more expansive, offering radiant light displays, whimsical scenes, and glowing pathways that come to life under the night sky."

On Saturday, September 20 we will be hosting a benefit to help restore the roof of our amazing Octagon House. As supporters of the museum, you know that our homes are always in need of restoration, and currently the Octagon roof is our number one priority due to its condition. One of the many questions that museum visitors want answered is if the homes like the Octagon House are haunted. Our answer: come find out for yourself at this event!

We will have professional ghost hunters like BC Smith from Twilight Disturbances, Tammie Chavez from Hollyweird Paranormal and Micah Cover a magician from the Magic Castle, along with our museum team to see if we can make contact with the museum spirts! The Octagon, Perry, Hale, Shaw and Ford homes will be open for tours and select ghost hunting/stories.
