We've been posting screenings on the place for probably its entire run. It's sad to hear a theater we loved posting on, just abruptly closed shop.
CGV Cinemas opened up way back in 2010; the three-screen theater showed off an amazing amount of features from its home country of South Korea as well as mainstream movies. Surrounded by plenty of places to eat and shop, it was the perfect destination to go to in Koreatown. When it opened, it had a wider selection than most chain theaters on snacks and was considered a cutting edge small theater.
We're never happy when any theater goes, RIP CGV.
