Horror Films In Time For Halloween

So much horror media is coming, here's a collection of upcoming scary stuff that you can see via streaming, theater and sadly only on DVD.

And, be sure to check out the Halloween Guide for our latest updates on all think spooky to see and do.

Night of the Reaper out now on Shudder

Synopsis: In the heart of a quiet, 1980s suburb, college student Deena returns home and reluctantly takes on a last-minute babysitting job. That same night, the local sheriff receives a cryptic package that pulls him into a sinister scavenger hunt that sets off a game of cat and mouse with a dangerous killer. As the clues unravel, Deena finds herself ensnared in a nightmarish mystery that she may not survive.

Chain Reactions in theaters Sept 19th

Didn't expect a doc premise of famous people influced by the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but that's exactly what his is.

Synopsis: Fifty years after Tobe Hooper’s THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE shocked the world and forever changed the face of global cinema and popular culture, CHAIN REACTIONS charts the film’s profound impact and lasting influence on five great artists – Patton Oswalt, Takashi Miike, Alexandra Heller- Nicholas, Stephen King, and Karyn Kusama – through early memories, sensory experiences, and childhood trauma.

Queens of the Dead in Theaters Oct. 24th

Synopsis: A zombie apocalypse breaks out in Brooklyn on the night of a giant warehouse party, where an eclectic group of drag queens, club kids, and frenemies must put aside their drama and use their unique skills to fight against the brain-thirsty, scrolling undead.

Trick or Treat with Reed Richmond: DVD + Zine Set
$31.00

That's right, you can't order for rent or stream

This is a crazy idea, but if you've seen the first two WNUF Halloween Specials you'll want this spin-off. It's an honest to goodness old school cable TV special on the history of Halloween done by the fictional Reed Richmond from the never-existing Monster Planet channel.

Strange Harvest, out now to rent online.

A lot is going on for the found footage cult favorite creators of Grave Encounters including the recent release of their film Strange Harvest. Them being behind this might want you to check this out without further questions. It's another found footage film set in our own backyard of the Inland Empire, the mystical land of San Bernadino! But seriously, this serial killer found footage film sounds great.

However, I'm telling you to skip the trailer, because it ruins a lot of the movie and pretty much the newer synopsis too. A few months back a tighter trailer and short synopsis didn't divulge as much. Whomever made the recent marketing changes has utterly screwed-up the film's release, just like the idiots in charge of the Abigail trailer. Go in blind and you'll have a horror grin on.

Coyotes in theaters Oct 3rd

Synopsis: Trapped in their Hollywood Hills home, a family fights for survival when caught between a raging wildfire and a pack of savage coyotes.

Talking about Colin Minihan and Stuart Ortiz (Grave Encounters), Colin directed Coyotes and both are remaking their film, Grave Encounters, now starring real-life couple Justin Long and Kate Bosworth who are producing the film too. Oh and they star in this one.

Gonna warn you to skip the trailer, maybe the bros, just make bad deals on trailer edits or are bad at them themselves. It's sort of a best moments of the film, why should I watch it now deal.
