Just a quick review for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, go see it. With Superman, we seem to be out of era of depressing movie heroes. It's nice to see their worlds and them be positive. That's not to say there worlds are perfect. The FF and Supes still have to overcome problems, but they ain't Jesus allegories anymore and they get it right on actually saving people more than just beating people up.
It's not perfect, it doesn't bring the superhero game to a new genre, more like a reset to what it should be, fun.
This film is totally in the vein of an FF story of solving insane cosmic level problems as a family. And Johnny would go after anything on two legs...anything, that horn dog.
