The Ghost In Shell (Ohh, they went with the Engrish name) And Went With Prime? Oy

Coming soon from animation wonder house and makers of Dan Da Dan, Science Saru, is the Engrish and dumber version of the original, The Ghost In Shell, not simply Ghost in the Shell. Now, animation wise, this is gonna be great. Story wise...it's never going to be that cyberpunk police procedural you had years ago. It's also coming to Prime, which cares as much about anime as well...it doesn't. The release of New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT sort of cemented Amazon's care of curation of anime, which is like, " Here you go."

Why the name change? That's what the creator originally wanted it, but when you're trying to release internationally or for the American market it makes sense for name recognition and easy flow. It's strange to choose to add a "The" to it at this point.

Why is it going to be dumber? It's based more on the manga and if you've ever read it and compared it to the movies or series it's just not the same thing. Think much more of an over-the-top 80's/90's manga, because that's when it was created. There was no Laughing Man Arc from the book. A lot of the deeper stuff came from the series staff. And, that's not the case this time it looks like. We'll also see if it's outright as horny as the original too. Some stuff had to be taken out of the first print releases in North America.

It's a brand new dub voice cast and seeing Lizzie Freeman, who also was the voice of Pomni in Digital Circus, as the Fuchikoma robots is an interesting choice.
