Other Reads: Criterion Mobile Closet & Terrible Local Government

Great write-up on the visit of the mobile Criterion Closet by Tim Grierson for The LA Times. You only got 3 minutes, but people lined up for hours just to do it...AND IN THE RAIN! Seriously, for cinephiles, it makes total sense.

Anaheim's scandal-ridden Chamber of Commerce poised to close by Yusra Farzan for LAist shares with us why Anaheim kind of sucks when it comes to tourism not related to Disney. We've written for years about how bad we thought the Anaheim Convention Center was run. And reading this, it makes a lot of sense why it continues to.

Meanwhile in our own county, not so great news. In largest settlement in its history, LA County approves $4 billion in massive child abuse case by Jordan Rynning, also for LAist.

Don't worry the county won't go bankrupt over this, just will be paying it back into the 2050's.
