Game & Movie Hype: The Only Animated Mario I Care About, Spiral June 1st, The FORT90 FILM CLUB & More

Rachael Moceri really captures what we all hope an animated Mario would be. Sadly, reality is Illumination is in charge of the animated Mario movie and we've seen nothing from it or know anything going on. But, yeah it's probably gonna be awful coming from Illumination.

Spiral we'll be available to rent online Tuesday, June 1st. Odd to miss Memorial weekend online, but I guess the studio thinks they can make more from theaters.

The FORT90 FILM CLUB comes from one of our favorite internet and gaming journalists and it shows some totally weird stuff over on Twitch. This Monday, we have some choice cuts of bizarre skating films.
The FORT90 FILM CLUB Presents:
MONDAY, MAY 31, 2021 AT 6 PM PDT

SHREDDER ORPHEUS – 1990, DIR: ROBERT MCGINLEY
In this reimagining of the Greek myth Orpheus and Eurydice, the former is a rock star and the latter is a dancer, who fall in love with each other and get married. When the Euthanasia Broadcast Network, which is run by the undead and which also zombifies their viewers, views the couple as potential ratings boosters, Eurydice is murdered and her soul is taken to the underworld.

THE ROLLER BLADE SEVEN – 1991, DIR: DONALD G JACKSON
The Roller Blade Seven is the first example of what director Donald G Jackson, best known for Hell Comes to Frogtown, and producer/actor Scott Shaw would dub “Zen Filmmaking”, in which there are no scripts and auteur is encouraged to shoot “whatever you feel like.”

SKATETOWN USA – 1979, DIR: WILLIAM A LEVEY
The film is simply just a night at a LA roller rink, designed to cash in on the white-hot roller disco craze that had swept the nation. Too bad by the time of the film’s release, the entire country’s musical tastes had completely changed.

 $13.99

Sadly, these inappropriate Lady Dimitrescu MOMMY MILKERS are no longer for sale.

Issue 2 of A Profound Waste of Time is up for pre-order. This looks like one of the best gaming mags ever made. It's about $34 to get it here in the US.

iam8bit has a special physical release to pre-order of Mutaizone for PS4 and Switch and vinyl soundtrack.
