Trousdale Estates is a particularly expensive part of Beverly Hills. Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston have had houses there. But this isn't a story about Friends.
On
the morning of July 20th, 2010, Katsutoshi Takazato, age 21, was
stabbed several dozen times. He was the son of a movie producer who
apparently did well enough but reports are that the two were estranged.
According
to police, Takazato was killed by Scott Barker, who was dating
Takazato's ex-girlfriend. Chie Alexandra Coggins Johnson, a gymnast, was
still living with Takazato at the time.

Johnson is a little hard to get an image of. A google search turns up
only a couple of photos of this woman, with a filename that matches
Johnson's lengthy name...
...but
other results high on the list include the guy who played Hanso on Lost
and Hitler from that movie that's famous primarily for its parodies.

In
2011 Ms. Johnson made a deal with prosecutors and was convicted of
aiding and abetting. She's worked with the prosecution for Barker's
trial, which just got underway this past week. According to her,
Takazato forced her into pornography and prostitution to help pay
off gambling debts he racked up.

She claims that when she confessed all of this to
Barker, weeks into their relationship, he insisted on scaring
Takazato with a knife and instead stabbed him dozens of times.
Bet no one told them life was gonna be this way.
