Weekly What To Do: Halloween Week 1 Edition

October means Halloween has already begun in LA, so look forward to new events happening every week during this month. Will be doing special edition Weekly What To Dos for those wanting to celebrate Halloween as much as possible.

Shriekfest
Oct 1-4

We're just not sold on how good the horror movies will be, judge them for yourself. The exception might be "Hunting" set in LA with a lonely girl discovering the 'treasures of LA." If you want pure indie horror though, stop you've already found it. Now let out a Shriek!

Beyond Fest
Oct 1-12
Egyptian Theatre

There's more than a few horror films including a specials for Evil Dead and Evil Dead II with Bruce Campbell and Edgar Wright talks after. Classics like The Beyond and Invasion of the Body Snatchers our ready to scare a new generation. Yakuza Apocalypse: The Great War of the Underworld and Assassination Classroom from Japan look like must watches.

We're somewhat intrigued by the free Ash Vs the Evil Dead tattoos. These are the permanent type and Beyond Fest even gave out free tickets to the Evil Dead showings for those with tattoos based on the films already.
