WHAT THE CLASH? Review: Gotta Hand It To Them

High-five and thumbs up to WHAT THE CLASH? a new game up on Apple Arcade from the same makers of WHAT THE GOLF?. This new online game puts you in the form of an anthropomorphic hand-faced creature in which you play mini-games. You play with other hand-faced creatures randomly and unlock cards (to modify games), bling features and in-game currency to buy said bling.

It grabs you as being a very addictive in short bursts phone game. Great for commutes or a few minutes in-between something when you've got nothing to do.

Take my hand and I'll explain why. Gameplay, though simple enough, can be addictive with very simple controls, but gets mixed up with the random cars you and your opponent toss in the mix. So, ping pong is suddenly a lot weirder with the addition of a fish as a ball or archery is out the window with the addition of motorized fans.

This is all done within the playful and tickling-sort of art style of the WHAT THE series of games. Visually it looks great. Heck, I loved the console concept for choosing games. You see, games are randomly chosen between you and your random opponent and stuck in and old school cartridge console. Whomever wins 3 games wins!

*A fun little thing to look out for is other things that shouldn't be put in a console  can sometimes be picked and put in. And in doing so unlock weird mini-games unlike anything you can normally play.

I found myself playing it at least once a day to unlock my next level which is done by your character having a birthday and getting a new present which could be more cards to modify games to a new game to play itself.

Another great one from the WHAT THE series, perfect for on the go fans of the series.
