Screamfest is still alive and scaring us with new horror films and creepy shorts. Gotta say, I still hate the web-site, the darn monster hides info like it doesn't want people to know about showings like Halloween I-V, Anonymous Animals and The Initation. And it is filled to the brim with shorts.

Glendale Sears Parking Lot
211 West California Avenue
Glendale, CA 91203

Secret Movie Club gives us some great horror service this Halloween by showing so many horror classics at the drive-in. Multiple nights to get you chills going throughout October. Check the link above from a wide rang of horrors some friendly for families and some so scary you still might want your parents with you.

In conjunction with Do Ho Suh's 348 West 22nd Street (2011–15), a large-scale artwork exploring ideas of home, personal history, and memory, LACMA presents The Moth Virtual StorySLAM: Home. Moth StorySLAM is a community-focused, open-mic storytelling event in which anyone can share a five-minute story on the night’s theme.

If you want the chance to tell your story* on the virtual stage, prepare a five-minute piece about "home." Or come as a listener—sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!

Story Prompt—Home: Prepare a five-minute story about where the heart is. Where you're from—your humble abode, your roots, your heritage, or where your Mama lives. Your comfort, refuge, or domestic bliss! Or perhaps a dysfunctional swamp with no lifeboat in sight. Your zip code, your people, your culture, your pajamas. There's no place like it!
