'Plantasia' at the UCLA Botanical Garden

5:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m.
UCLA Botanic Garden, 707 Tiverton Drive, Los Angeles, California, 90095
$45 + fees

Join Atlas Obscura, the UCLA Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden, and Sacred Bones Records after hours for a transformative experience combining sound, light, and the gardens' lush vegetation.

The multi-sensory Plantasia experience is inspired by Mort Garson's 1976 album Mother Earth’s Plantasia, intended for plants and the people who love them. Explore the UCLA Botanical Garden's winding paths and expansive grounds before gathering in the Nest Amphitheatre for a special Plantasia listening session, introduced by celebrated composer and interactive ecology designer Mileece. Mileece will delve into the history of plant-sentience and bio-communication research before demonstrating her own invention: a botanical feedback system that generates lightscapes and organic music by transforming the bio-electric currents of plants, trees, and even people. Following the presentation, Plantasia will be played in full as the gardens grow dark.

Sean Gunn at Best Buy

*Was Sean Gunn even in the movie?  And this is the closest signing in LA...lol.  I mean whose son or daughter came up with this campaign, ughh, what a disgrace. I mean, damn ,Sean Gunn is a nice person, I think. Here he is in our coverage of  the game Lollipop Chainsaw, that he's brother wrote.

Listen it's Sean Gunn or nobody, so just suck it up unless you wait outside for some other fan event.

Torrance isn't even a good location for LA/Valley residents. I feel like a team who set this up is not  LA based. And if it is an LA based team, they hate LA and you. Or were given zero resources as to get this done by someone's son our daughter.

"In celebration of the Blu-ray release of Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Endgame” (available for purchase on Tuesday, August 13), Sean Gunn will be stopping by the Best Buy Store in Torrance on launch day, where he will sign Blu-ray™ copies of the film and distribute special gifts including ‘We Love You 3000’ pins, customized prints and MCU Funko Pop Vinyl Figures (while supplies last)."
