HOCUS POCUS - Film Screening for Friday the 13th!
Fri Oct 13th 7:00pm - 9:00pm (PDT)
PRS Auditorium, 3910 Los Feliz Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90027

What better place than PRS and what better day than Friday the 13th to watch director Kenny Ortega’s madcap horror comedy HOCUS POCUS (1993, Disney / Swank, 96 min.)?! Teenager Max Dennison (Omri Katz) and his younger sister Dani (Thora Birch, pre-GHOST WORLD) move from L.A. to Salem, Mass. – where he accidentally awakens a trio of 300 year-old witches: Winifred (the great Bette Midler), Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mary (Kathy Najimy).

We encourage everyone to dress in their wildest HOCUS POCUS-inspired witch finery for the screening! Introduction to film by animation writer and Wicca enthusiast Marja Adriance, who will highlight some of the more lighthearted aspects of witchcraft.

Ticket Price: $15 (in person event only)

Animation Is Film is back this October and it has some big gets. The animation film festival always has some amazing films to see.

Some of the gets are:

The Boy and the Heron from Miyazaki is sadly already sold out, maybe they'll do a encore showing if everyone asks? It won't be the North American premiere, but would be the first screening of it on the West Coast.

Both 100 years of WB and Disney special screenings. WB's will show off its special stop-motion short Daffy in Wackyland.

The Concierge from Japan is another one we've been waiting for. It's about a human woman trying to sell things to animals in a mall, it looks beautiful.

The 6th Edition  of the festival runs 5 days, Wednesday, October 18 to Sunday, October 22. Get tickets now as things do sell out.
