Join Film Independent and The Wallis for an evening that rewinds through Patrick Stewart's life and career, from his 27 years as a renowned actor with the Royal Shakespeare Company to the 1980s when he moved to Los Angeles to star as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the Emmy winning "Star Trek" reboot, "Star Trek: The Next Generation." Sir Patrick has continued his long run as Captain Picard with his current show "Star Trek: Picard" and continues to play his beloved X-Men character Professor Charles Xavier, most recently in Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Fans of Sir Patrick’s work on the stage and screen will not want to miss his stories from his early days in the industry, and his experiences on some of the most iconic productions in history.
 
This conversation will be moderated by actor and director Jonathan Frakes.

Our version of Edinburgh fringe festival is back and ready with just some super weird fun. There's Sir David Attenboroug's BUGS!, Les Millénniables, a parody pop musical offering a satirical look at the plight of the generation deemed “millennials." Boom, Headshot! A Geek Tragedy, a guild of close-knit, basement-dwelling MMORPG players takes on the apocalypse from the ephemeral safety of their avatars. Losing Your Humanity is a new musical which explores the way a family might deal with a zombie outbreak that hits close to home.

"The 29th annual Palm Springs International ShortFest returns to the Camelot Theatres (Palm Springs Cultural Center) from June 20-26. The festival will screen 50 curated programs showcasing 299 films including 53 World Premieres, 10 International Premieres, 33 North American Premieres and 18 U.S. Premieres. Additionally, the ShortFest Forum will also take place June 23-25 bringing together festival filmmakers, prominent industry representatives and others for a series of panels, roundtables and meetings covering a wide range of emerging trends and new practices in the global film community."

 Last year, Prism Comics held the first annual Q Con to great success with over 900 people attending.  This year’s Q Con will once again celebrate the amazing diversity of LGBTQ+ comics, games, and popular media today and will be expanded with panel presentations on various comics topics. Attendees will be able to meet creators from indie comics to major publishers, get autographs and sketches, and mix with other comics fans.
