This interactive show will have beloved performers and some audience members play the game Make That Sandwich, try sandwiches and test their sandwich knowledge all within the glorious confines of the theater on Franklin. If you love, like, or ever ate a sandwich – this show is for you.

Do the Dumb is a show where we invite LA’s best comedians to perform their dumbest ideas. Stupid sketch ideas, idiotic bit ideas, way too specific for most people to get character ideas, premises they’ve had for years but could never convince anyone to perform it ideas, some idea about butts ideas. If it’s too dumb for anywhere else, you can find it here!This is an 18+ show.

Join Gallery Nucleus for a special one-weekend-only exhibition as we celebrate the artwork of illustrator and graphic novelist Deb JJ Lee. Artwork from Deb's recently released graphic novel, In Limbo, will be on display, alongside Deb's personal work. Deb will also be in attendance, signing books for fans.

The Bug Fair is FREE with museum admission or entirely FREE for Members.

Visitors will experience up-close encounters with crawly creatures; meet real scientists who will share their knowledge of insects and their benefits to the environment; learn about insect slime and meet favorite Spongebob characters at the Nickelodeon booth; watch an insect-focused cooking demonstration; and have the opportunity to get hands-on and crafty with activities throughout the weekend. In addition, visitors can explore the Museum’s diorama halls, which will be filled with exhibitors and vendors offering just about everything from live exotic insect collections to unique and cool bug-related products.

Ciclavia introduces CicLAmini, a more pedestrian and neighborhood-oriented experience of a traditional open streets event. The first CicLAmini of 2023 turns a one-mile stretch of Central Ave and 103rd St in the iconic neighborhood of Watts into a public park for the day. CicLAmini-Watts will feature activities sprinkled along the entire open streets route, including self-guided walking tours, scavenger hunts, street games, local business engagements, and art and cultural activities for all ages.

To celebrate the opening of Sarah Rosalena's Standard Candle at Mount Wilson Observatory, LACMA Art + Technology Lab grant recipient Sarah Rosalena and science and technology anthropologist Lisa Messeri will discuss the exhibition in the context of origin and knowledge through feminist and anti-colonial methodologies. In addition, they will explore connections to computing shown throughout the exhibition of textiles and beadwork. A reception will follow and a night of viewing on the 100-inch telescope.
